Reading Hall of Fame. Greg Brooks of the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA) was inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame May 10, 2011, at the IRA Annual Convention at Orlando, Florida. Click here for more.

EU Appoints High-level Expert Group on Reading Literacy. The European Commission has appointed a high-level expert group on literacy, to be charied by Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands. The group includes FELA representative Renate Valtin. Click here for more information.
Serge Terwagne. Sadly, Serge Terwagne, Treasurer of FELA, chair of the 17th European Conference on Reading, and President of L'Association Belge pour la Lecture passed away in September, 2011. Click here.
